Obamacare Open Enrollment
The annual open enrollment for Obamacare has begun and will end on Jan. 15th. During this time, any legal U.S. resident can sign up for a new health insurance plan with no questions asked and may receive tax credits to help pay the monthly premium. because of recent changes in the law, almost all individuals or families will receive the credits.
Medicare Open Enrollment
The annual open enrollment for Medicare began on Dec. 15th and will end on Dec. 7th. During this time anyone on Medicare can enroll in a Medicare insurance plan or make changes to their current plan. Medicare plan have zero or very low premiums and have very strong benefits.
Florida Expands Access To Kid Care
Florida Kid Care is state sponsored health insurance plan for children under the age of nineteen. The cost is based on family income and caps out at $60,000. Florida has now raised the ceiling on family income so that a family of four with a gross income of $90,000 per year can still qualify for help in paying the premium.
